The UNPHU libraries are composed of the following information institutions: the Central Library located in the Garrido Puello Campus in Santo Domingo and the Library in La Vega Province.
The Central Library of the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) was created in 1966, a few months after the University was founded. Subsequently in 1982 the building that it occupies is inaugurated, which has a very peculiar and unique structure since it is circular. Due to the nature of its collections, it is considered one of the most important university libraries in the country.

The Library is a member of the Consultative Committee of the Virtual Health Library of the Dominican Republic, of the Association of Dominican University Libraries (ABUD). Its also a member of the Association of University Libraries, Research and Institutional Caribbean (ACURIL).
General Collection: It has resources of the different areas of universal knowledge, necessary for teaching and academic formation.
Reserve Collection: It contains documentary resources considered by teachers and academics as basic texts for consultation in the professional and academic formation of students.
Reference Collection: Contains essential works for consultation, such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, atlases, indexes, guides, catalogs, almanacs, etc.
Dominican Collection: These are the publications of Dominican authors or foreign authors, that approach subjects of Dominican Republic or about the country.
Thesis Collection: Includes all theses and graduate work of UNPHU graduates.
Serial Publications Collection: Includes all periodicals: magazines, newspapers, bulletins, journals, etc. Audiovisual Collection: Integrated by documents in electronic and / or digital format, in VHS, CD or DVD format.
